Hey! I’m Chelsea Clarke, and I’m here to help you glow up and build the rich life you dream of. I’m the founder of HerPaperRoute, an investor, educator, and all-around content creation nerd. I’m also an advocate for women being in full control of their own income, so wealth-building is a big theme around here, right alongside the habits, goals, and confidence work.
I started HerPaperRoute because I wanted to see more financially independent, business-owning women in the world. That mission led me to build one of the most comprehensive business idea resource libraries on the internet, and I made it completely free to access. Since then, the resources here have grown alongside the women using them: covering not just money and business, but the habits, style, wellness, and travel that make up a genuinely glowed-up life.
A Little Background…
Back in 2012, I was laid off from my corporate marketing job, unexpectedly and without warning. That moment taught me something I never forgot: being an employee was riskier than building something of my own.
I clawed my way out of debt and built a $50K savings fund in under two years, going from a waitress earning $11 an hour in one of the most expensive cities in the country, to the CEO of a seven-figure company. It wasn’t a straight line. I started and sold several startups, dropshipping businesses, and hobby blogs over the years, all while working in marketing by day and bartending by night.
In 2017, with a newborn in my lap, I decided I was done leaving myself a fallback plan. I’d already figured out how to build and sell websites successfully, so I launched HerPaperRoute to share what I’d learned. It grew into a school, a podcast, and a community of thousands.
In 2019, I launched my second company, Niche Investor, to help creators and investors buy and sell online businesses. To date, I’ve helped facilitate over $5M in transactions for content creators selling their sites.
I have a bachelor’s degree, but I don’t think you need any fancy accolades to build something successful. What you need is a plan, the right strategies, and someone willing to show you exactly how it’s done.
What does ‘HerPaperRoute’ mean?
Well, ‘Her’ refers to you. ‘Paper’ refers to money. ‘Route’ means path, or plan. The route is the plan we are going to plot out, to reach your money goals.
Why HerPaperRoute is more than a money blog
For years, HerPaperRoute was the place to learn affiliate marketing, content monetization, and how to buy, grow, and sell online businesses. That’s still core to what we do.
But here’s what I’ve realized: you can’t out-earn a life that doesn’t feel aligned. The women in this community don’t just want more money. They want to feel confident, organized, energized, and like they’re actually living the life all that hustle is supposed to fund.
So HerPaperRoute has grown into a full glow up resource: covering habits, goals, confidence, style, wellness, and travel, alongside the business and money strategies that built this place. Think of it as the resource for becoming the most put-together, leveled-up version of yourself, inside and out.
