How often do you want to do these extra things? If you’re only doing them on weekends, pick the ones that pay more.

Many other articles list get-rich-quick schemes, but you aren’t going to find those here. These methods have been proven to help others make money online.

15 Effective Ways To Make $300 Quickly

Below I’m going to go over the many effective ways to help you earn $300 quickly. It could take a day, a week, or a few weeks depending on how much you can work and the job at hand.

1. Run A Flash Sale

Put a few of your best programs/offers in a flash sale. Send emails to your list, and promote on Instagram letting your audience know that you are having a sale. This can be the quickest cash injection to make $300 fast.

But what if you are an employee, not an entrepreneur? In that case, suggestion #2 is for you!

2. Ask For Overtime (If you Are An Employee)

If you work for someone else, it might be a good idea to ask your boss about overtime. The goal is to use your free time wisely, and if you don’t enjoy what you do, you’re not going to want to do it.

But if you aren’t ready to quit your 9-5 to grow your own business yet, then asking your boss for more work might be your min option right now.

You can find many other ways to earn extra money, and I’ve got the hacks to help you. If you could make $300 a week extra, this works out to about $1,200 a month. This can easily cover your monthly bills or help you start an emergency fund or savings account.

It is realistic to earn $300 a week online, which is an achievable goal for a full income or a side hustle income. You’ve got to think about the methods I list below and decide which ones are most appropriate for your needs and lifestyle.

3. Get Paid For Your Opinion

Most survey websites are indeed time-wasters, but there are ways to make more money than you think using surveys. There are countless survey companies out there, but you want one that offers quick payments.

Make sure you actually get money and not a gift card. While these can be nice and help you feel like you earned a treat, you want cash that can be saved or put toward a bill.

Survey Junkie offers fast payments and doesn’t require you to ‘earn’ a lot before getting your reward. Just remember that each survey provides a different amount, so check out the ones that pay big and do those. Some surveys pay up to $70 and don’t take that long to finish.

I find that I rarely qualify for most surveys, but I do them when I have a little extra time on my hands. These are some of my favorite options because they’re free to join and easy to use:

  • Inbox Dollars – Get a $5 bonus for signing up. You actually earn points, which corresponds to a dollar amount.
  • KashKick – A low payout threshold makes this a great option. Read my KashKick review here.
  • Swagbucks – Get a $5 bonus for signing up. This is a highly reputable survey site that’s been around a long time.
  • Branded Surveys – Get a 100 point bonus for signing up. They’ve paid out over $15 million dollars to their 2 million members.

This at-home money-making option isn’t for everyone, so don’t feel bad if you skip this one altogether. It’s a great way to monetize small segments of time when you’re waiting in line or for a meeting to start. For other options, check out my recommendations for the highest-paying survey sites.

4. Teach English Online

Are you a native English speaker and have a decent internet connection? You could teach English online to people in other countries, including China. For this one, you need a college degree in education with a background in English.

It’s possible to earn up to $25 each hour but your rate will vary depending on a few factors. When you teach more people English, you earn more. You can also check out these options for tutoring online.

5. Pet Sit or Dog Walk

This is what I did when I needed money ASAP. I joined Rover and found clients who were looking for an experienced pet sitter. I made around $20 per half-hour visit and could make my own hours to work around my family’s schedule. I even took my infant son with me to some of my cat sits (with owner approval first).

If you love pets and are comfortable around them, pet sitting is a great way to earn money. You can easily make an extra $300 + every month doing dog walking part-time. If this sounds like something you’d like to do, check out my tips for becoming a Rover pet sitter and getting your profile to stand out.

6. Reach Your Fitness Goals

This idea isn’t likely to let you earn $300 regularly but could work in the short-term. Companies like HealthyWage pay you for reaching weight-loss goals. The amounts you can earn vary but to increase earnings you should join the challenges.

7. Part-Time Social Media Manager

This is a job that has been growing a lot. In the past, you were hired as a full-time employee of a company. Nowadays, many businesses are hiring this out on a part-time basis to freelancers. Even better is that you can get this job without a degree as long as you have some experience to show.

If you love social media and want to do this as an independent contractor, why not do this?

Even taking on one part-time client can earn you $300 a month. If you have a successful personal social account and can help small businesses leverage the platform, getting clients is possible. If social media isn’t your focus, you can get hired as a virtual assistant which usually includes more basic tasks.

8. Freelance Proofreading

If you’re a word nerd and are constantly finding errors in people’s writing (possibly even here), then consider becoming a freelance proofreader. You get paid to proofread and edit documents for clients on an as-needed basis.

You can either apply to get hired by a freelance proofreading company or try to start up your own business. If you want to be hired part-time, check out these beginner proofreading jobs. Proofreaders can make anywhere between $20 to $50 plus per hour depending on how good they are. If you have specialized experience in technical fields, you can earn a lot more since there’s higher demand.

9. Be Part Of A Focus Group

A focus or research group asks for your opinion on a variety of things. You might watch a new television program or try a new snack. There are countless groups available, and you can find them online.

You may have to travel to the location and the panel can take a few hours. It’s possible to earn $300 per session if you choose wisely. This could be a great income option, but it might not be available all the time.

10. Freelance Writing

Could you make money from a particular skill you possess like writing? If so, now is the time to sign up for a freelancing writing website. Places like Upwork allow you to bid on jobs in a particular niche. When you win the bid, you can finish the job and get paid from its platform. This is an excellent and safe way to build your reputation and might turn into a career!

I’m a blogger, among other things, so I know a thing or two about freelancing. While you may not make $300 a week to start out, you can choose high-paying bids. The trick is to get hired, and some people have such low offers that they are picked. Don’t lose hope; keep trying, and you’re sure to be successful.

If you take this route, you’re self-employed. This means you’ve got to pay taxes on what you earn. It’s important to understand, but you can make a decent profit. Go here to learn more about becoming a freelance writer without prior experience.

11. Mobile Car Advertiser

I’m not talking about advertising for smartphones, although you could get into that career if you want. Those with a vehicle can make money while they drive around town. You can find various websites that give you a special advertising sticker or car wrap. Just put it in the rear window of your truck or car and do what you normally do.

Some companies provide you with magnetic signs that go on the sides of your car. You make money by driving around your hometown. These companies often require you to travel a specific amount each day, but if you qualify, it’s a great way to earn money without thinking about it.

12. House Sitting

While you might think it’s weird, many people go on vacation and worry about their home sitting vacant. If you’ve got the time, sign up for a house sitting service to earn more money.

When you’re house sitting, you stay in the person’s home until the owner gets back. It’s like a short vacation from your house. You’ve got to make sure you keep the place clean, and each person has their own set of rules you must follow.

Typical tasks include watering plants, collecting the mail, and other simple projects. It’s possible to earn a lot of money in a week if you live in an area with high-end clientele.

13. Research Studies

These are similar to focus groups, but they are medical-related. This can be a little scary for some people and isn’t right for everyone. Those who do research studies can make significant money doing it. When there is a higher risk, you have the potential to earn more.

There are low-risk options available in most states, so you can try your hand at it and see what goes on first.

You’ve got to be in good health or have a specific ailment to be successful. Plus, it’s important to qualify for the study. Remember, you may need to go to a facility or hospital for tests and treatments.

14. Sell Stuff You No Longer Need

Whether it’s spring or not, you can clean out your house of any junk you no longer need. Consider having a yard sale if you live in an area that allows them. What you don’t sell there can be posted on eBay or other websites that enable you to sell things like NextDoor or Facebook Marketplace. For those who have tons of junk, this is great way to earn a lot of money in a day.

I recommend researching websites that help you sell your junk. They often have safety precautions to avoid having strangers at your residence. You can usually request that the buyer pays for shipping, which means less money out of your pocket.

15. Start Writing A Blog

Earlier, I mentioned that making fast money is all about the planning. You aren’t going to make $300 that first day of blog creation. If you plan for it, you could start making that 6-12 months down the road.

It’s quite cheap to start a new blog, but it does require a little capital. The potential to earn money is limitless, too. You can actually make money through sponsored posts, affiliate marketing, advertisements, and even sell items that you make yourself.

The best part: Anyone can make and run a blog. You don’t require any experience to start, and it could become a full-time income or job. Of course, you need to be able to type and have access to grammar and plagiarism tools; no one wants to read something full of typos and run-on sentences!

If running a blog sounds interesting but you don’t know where to start, go here to learn how to start a successful blog and get paid for it.

Bonus Money-Earner: Rent Your Car or Room

I’ve found that many people don’t use their vehicles that often. If you work from home, you may only need it once or twice a week. Consider renting your car to someone willing to pay for the usage.

There are tons of sites available to help you get the word out. While I’ve never done it before, look over the are rules in place that must be followed by both parties. For example, you’re sure to need insurance.

Sometimes, it’s a person who needs a ride to work while other services connect you with Lyft or Uber drivers who require a car. You can make up to $45 a day doing this and can decide when your vehicle is available.

VRBO is a popular website. It allows people to find rooms and houses to rent while they’re on vacation. The goal is for these vacationers to spend less than at a hotel and cook for themselves periodically.

If you have an RV that you own, you can rent it out to others while you’re not using it.

While you need to live in an area that often has travelers, this could be a huge money-maker for you. The amount you get paid depends on the city’s tourism level, how much you charge, and whether or not people respond. If you have an extra room, such as a guest bedroom, this is a great opportunity. Just make sure you know the local laws for rentals.

How To Make $300 Fast – Conclusion

These options are all excellent ways to make $300 fast, and I threw in a few that could be a potential for a career with time and effort. You probably thought it was impossible, but these methods work and don’t require a ton of energy from you.

While freelancing and blog creation do take a bit more effort and time, it could be the start of a new career. You might really enjoy it and decide to quit your job. I’m not sure where it might lead, but you can give it a try and see if it’s right for your lifestyle. Choose options that make you a lot of money and don’t take up much time!
