Thrivecart goes considerably beyond that and has several tools not only to convert visitors to your website into paying customers but also to increase the number of sales that go through per visitor.

Thrivecart Course Hosting LMS: All About The New Thrivecart Academy Platform

Recently, TC released its brand new feature, Thrivecart Academy: a complete solution for course creators.

I used to host my different courses on Kajabi, Podia, and Teachable, but I never used their checkouts when people enroll.

Until switching to TC, I used to have to pay to host my courses on Teachable and Kajbi, and then I used Thrivecart for the checkout.

Also, I used to have to pay hundreds of dollars a month to Zapier, to connect my student enrollments, and then pay thousands of dollars a year to host my courses on Kajabi, Teachable, Podia.

But now, I canceled Teachable, Kajabi and Zapier, and simply have all of my courses within TC. Seamlessly use TC for all my checkout pages, upsells, funnels, tagging, and even run my affiliate program in one place!.

You can imagine my joy when I heard the announcement that Thrivecart launched its own in-house LMS feature, “Academy”!

How To Use Thrivecart Academy

1. First, get your Thrivecart account here.

2. Next, once you are signed in, look at the top right navbar, and click the graduation hat icon:

Once logged in you will be able to set up your communities and courses.

his allow you to keep different types of courses organized.

For example, you might have a project folder for your free courses, and then a different project folder for your paid courses.

You can easily import students, and add your team members.

As you go through the steps, you can choose to connect your own domain, and set up the lesson drip feature, and other oprtions.

Of course, everything plays nice with ConvertKit, and Flodesk too, so you can automatically tag students to the appropriate segments on your email list.

What about video hosting?

Currently, Thrivecart doesn’t have the option to upload a video file right into your lesson. Instead, you just paste the embed code for your video, from where ever you have it uploaded.

For example, you can upload your videos to Vimeo or Amazon AWS for free, and then paste the code into the lesson page. Easy-peasy!

Thrivecart Pricing and Value for Money

Thrivecart has a few different pricing options. It can certainly be a valuable asset to have if you already have a large following on your website.

I also feel that Thrivecart is a worthy business investment even if you are a newbie just getting your business off the ground because having it will encourage you to grow and make sales.

Thrivecart Pro

When this article was written, Thrivecart Pro+ has more to offer than the standard version.

I would argue that the most beneficial of these added benefits is the affiliate center, enabling your business to work with affiliate marketers.

It also offers the automatic sales tax calculations that we mentioned earlier, and intelligent business projections, which can come in handy whenever you need to seek further investment.

I believe that Thrivecart Pro is excellent value for money for any well business. Especially if you intend to work with affiliates.

It is important to note at this point that there are rumors that TC intends to switch to a monthly subscription fee in the near future.

If this is the case, and you think that Thrivecart could really add value to your business, you would be well advised to consider going for the one-off payment before it’s too late.

As your one-time payment deal will be locked in for life.

Also, as a business owner, your software is a tax write-off, so there’s literally no reason why NOT to buy it.

I’ve been a loyal TC customer for many years. I have found that many customers are prepared to purchase add-ons and up-sells when I have made them available.

Increasing the cart value and converting higher paying customers has been easily achieved by using Thrivecart.

EASY TO USE AND CUSTOMIZE

Thrivecart is a seamless all-in-one tool that anyone can use.

You don’t need to be a designer or techie. And the simple drag-and-drop page builder means you don’t need to do any closing.

But for the more advanced creators, you will find that you are free to add any custom code you like.

Great for working with affiliates

There’s advanced conversion tracking for your affiliate team, and it will pay them for you too.

You can also use Thrivecart to provide instant digital bonuses for your affiliates and give them discounts.

Note that, this feature is only available in the Pro version and not in the standard version of TC.

Cons

Inability To Customize Customer Receipt Emails

The only downside I’ve encountered in my many years of using Thrivecart is that there is no option to edit the email your customer receives when they purchase.

But the workaround is that you can turn off this email, and then just have your autoresponder send the welcome email, which works just fine.

Alternatives to Thrivecart

Thrivecart is the only platform of its sort, and is the premier choice in my opinion. But there are some well-known, well-established alternatives on the market that offer some similar features.

SamCart

SamCart is hands down the most well-known alternative to Thrivecart.

SamCart is also a form of shopping cart software designed to optimize sales with bump offers and so on.

But Samcart does not offer any course hosting feature, and doe not offer a lifetime deal on the price.

ClickFunnels

Like Thrivecart, ClickFunnels is also geared towards driving more customer sales. But the key difference between the two is that ClickFunnels is a page builder and website host.

Clickfunnels is geared towards building sales pages and landing pages, or if you don’t already have a website with web hosting in place. (You should always self-host your website anyway!)

ClickFunnels is also quite expensive and requires a regular membership fee.
